Heathcote Estate

Robert and Mem Kirby established Heathcote Estate in 1999. The Kirby family produce wines under both the Heathcote Estate and Yabby Lake labels, their brands managed by chief winemaker Tom Carson.

Heathcote Estate was established with the sole objective of making single vineyard Shiraz. Their Drummonds Lane vineyard, situated in undulating country in the Heathcote heartland, is all planted to Shiraz with just a single block of Grenache. It is classic Heathcote terrain, its rich soils producing intense yet balanced red wines. The site is meticulously nurtured row by row, the vines hand pruned through winter, and the fruit handpicked each harvest.

Heathcote Estate's Single Block wines explore the nuances of each site. At their purpose built Heathcote winery the wines are made with uncompromising attention to detail. Shiraz is the staple.
